Becoming a better financial manager
I remember back when I first started working right out of college. I used to be so good at living on a budget. I only had but so much money and I had to make sure I had enough to pay my rent other monthly expenses. Then I got married and was still okay about managing money, but looking back, I realized I slacked off because I knew my husband would always make enough money to cover our expenses. Well, I stopped working the traditional 9-5 and became a marketing consultant making pretty good money based on my projects. Then, my husband got laid off and it was difficult for him to find work again because he was in upper management. Long story short, I realized that I have to take charge of the family’s finances, we’ve got two boys to put through college. One will go in 3 years and I like to live LARGE. So, I’m making more a conscious effort to watch every dime I spend and working on an plan that will produce a substantial income for me and my family.
I’ll get there. I just have to do it one day at a time!
