How often to you keep in touch with your siblings?  I have two younger brothers and I am close to one — the one closest to me in age.  My brother Keith and I are very close.  He lives in PA with his wife and two young daughters and I live in NJ with my husband and two sons.  Keith and I talk a few times a week and see each other (with families) every few months.  I love to hang out with Keith because we have so much fun.

My younger brother (Bernard) on the other hand has been absent from my life for the better part of 11 years.  My kids don’t know him, but know who he is.  Bernard has recently started to call to start being in touch.  I will admit, it is very strange after all this time.  I mean, I never even heard from him during the last year when I was battling Breast Cancer!  Part of me says, I should just try and bring him into my family life again, and another part of me feels like “whatever”.    What would you do?
